Enjoy a unique train ride and experience throughout a mythical railroad. Devil´s Nose is a mountain with almost perpendicular walls. To overcome this obstacle, a zigzag railroad was built that climbs more than 500 meters in less than 12km with steep ascents and descents. It today remains an impressive piece of engineering. While recovering from the mind-blowing descent you will enjoy the views of the narrow gorge of river Chanchán, and will have the chance to learn a bit about the traditions and worldview of the Puruhuas community in Sibambe. Hotel pickup and drop-off is not included: you will meet your guide at the train station. Your tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and includes round-trip train tickets, a short walk, and free time for pictures.

The Devil's Nose Route is 2 hours 30 min duration. without a doubt, the most impressive section of Ecuador's railway: a hair-raising trip down the rocky slopes of the Andes departing from the town of Alausi to the town of Simbambe on the way down to the coastal region.
Depart by train to Sibambe. The train will descend more than 500 meters in less than 12km doing zigzag maneuvers on the mountain. This is a unique adventure and the most attractive of this route. You will experience different landscape combinations between mountains, vegetation, and the central Andes valley.
When your time here is complete, you will depart back to Alusi by train.
